Gun Laws Don't Work

Most people do not want to get a criminal record, and they certainly don't want to serve any jail time, therefore they will take the appropriate steps to ensure they abide by UK laws.

Assuming that to be true, ask yourself this question -

Why would that change if these same people were given legally held firearms to protect themselves and their families from criminals ?

Law-abiding people wouldn't use guns in anger, thereby putting themselves at risk of facing serious criminal charges, and there is no evidence to say otherwise.

This proves that gun owners are actually far more law-abiding than the rest of society.

There is a general belief among some people in the UK that guns are evil and should be banned completely.

A firearm is an inanimate object, and has no self awareness. Therefore it is completely incapable of evil. Only the person holding it is responsible for acts committed using it.

Guns are used far more often to defend lives than to take them, and this happens every single day throughout the world.

When guns are illegal, it means that respectable people have no way of defending themselves, this is something that the anti-gun campaigners deliberately overlook.

Whilst they claim to be looking out for you, they will never admit that they have actually left you very vulnerable to violent crime.

A defenceless society leaves criminals free to do as they please with no fear encountering an armed victim. This in turn causes violent crime to rise.

Why can't good people with families protect themselves ?

There are many cases of people who have gone out of their homes to confront individuals causing problems and have ended up being savagely beaten and killed, sometimes in front of loved ones.

Incidents like these leave wives and children so traumatised that they no longer feel safe in their own homes, and often have nightmares for many years afterwards.

Had these people gone out armed, the outcome could have been very different.

Guns offer the only adequate means of protection for the weak, disabled and elderly.

They are an effective equaliser, allowing a 80 year old old woman to protect herself from a 20 year old, 6ft drug addict.

In the United States alone, less than 0.004 percent of guns are used in crimes, this figure is so small that it's almost insignificant.

We all have the basic human right to protect ourselves and our loved ones, and firearms are the best and most effective way that this can be achieved.
